This is a work in progress and will be updated regularly until it is 100% correct. In short, any data collected by the website is not shared or distributed. We only use your data to enable you to carry out the tasks you have requested or taken part in. If there is anything you think we should add or needs correcting, please contact us.

Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Non-personal identification information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Subscribe to newsletters and promotional emails
When you receive newsletters or promotional emails from The Gatchaman Project, we may use cookies and web beacons, customised links or other technologies to recognise you, to determine whether the email has been opened, which links you click. The data is used to help us determine the effectiveness of our communications with you, gather demographic information about our user base, provide you with communications and product and service offerings more tailored to your personal interests, to serve targeted advertising on other websites around the Internet and to provide security.

Store
If you purchase products or services on the site, we collect your billing and shipping information. These are required in order to process your orders. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal and governed by their respective privacy policies.

Contact Forms
Certain areas of the site use contact forms in order to generate an email message directed to us (and only us). Contact forms capture personal data such as your name and email address, necessary to generate such emails. No additional data is required from you.

Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded Content
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics
We use Google Analytics, Jetpack and WordPress Analytics.

Do we share your data?
We do not share any of your personal data.

Data Retention
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you make a purchase, we retain your billing information and order details for a period of time.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Your Rights
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Privacy Policy Changes
We may modify this Policy from time to time and will display the latest modification date at the top of the page. By continuing to use the site after any changes are in effect, you agree to the revised Policy.
